Cellar Magnifique, 3 Church Path, Woking GU21 6EJ, UK

What's it about?

Tiff Stevenson's bringing you a sneak peek of her brand-new show, Post-Coital!

Get a taste of the Edinburgh Fringe without the train fare!

The brilliant Tiff Stevenson will be sharing a work-in-progress of her latest show, Post-Coital, before she takes it to the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Edinburgh shows don't come readymade, and Tiff's WIP is your chance to get a sneak peek of her material and to see how a show's put together while she gets to test out jokes and see which ones get woops and cheers and which ones get wide-eyed nods of encouragement. Her last WIP sold out, and tickets are a crazy low price, so don't miss out!

Plus you'll get that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you're helping a comic improve their art. You're basically the Arts Council, but more likely to give working-class people money...

See you at Tiff's show!

FAQs

🕰️ What time does it start?

Like our usual Comedy Magnifique nights, your table will be ready from you from 7pm, and the show starts at 7:30pm. We recommend arriving as close to 7 as possible so you have plenty of time to mull over their incredible wine selection and the staff can take your order. View the menu here.

🍷 Is food and drink available?

Yes, absolutely! Comedy purists say you shouldn't eat while watching comedy, but this is a beautiful boutique night where we like a little luxury and a lot of cheese. Cellar Magnifique serves an excellent selection of wines, cheeses, and charcuterie boards. Drinks are available before and during the show, though there won't be service while the acts are performing.

🪑 Can I reserve seating?

Cellar Magnifique will try to accommodate preferences and party size but do bear in mind it's not always possible. You're welcome to call them directly on 01483 730407 if you have a request, or include a note in your booking and Noisy Badger will pass it on. Some people worry about 'sitting at the front and being picked on' but honestly it's just a warm friendly vibe, where rather than being picked on, we all just get to know each other. It's a comedy community for people who like good wine and a sensible bedtime!

⏯️ Are there breaks?

Not for the WIP shows - it shouldn't run beyond 8:45. We'll do a quick intro and then it'll be about an hour straight through (sometimes less, sometimes more) but it's a very casual evening, so don't be afraid to get up to the loo or if you need a breather!

🎫 Do I need to print my ticket?

Nope! Unless someone's trying to steal your identity and their first act of defiance is attending a comedy night. Cellar Magnifique will have the full guest list, so just like an ordinary bar reservation, simply give your name to the wonderful wait staff and they'll seat you.

🤔 I can’t come anymore — can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we can't guarantee refunds on tickets, although we can usually offer partial refunds for The Works up to 24 hours in advance. Feel free to email us if you have special circumstances you'd like to discuss.

🚗 What's the parking situation?

We recommend using the Victoria Place (Red, Green, Blue and Yellow) car park, GU21 6GB.

It’s a flat rate of £2.20 after 6pm and a few minutes’ walk away (through

the shopping centre).

🧒 Can I bring my child?

Our shows are aimed at adults (18+) and may contain strong language or adult themes. We might be able to accommodate babes-in-arms, so drop us a line if you're planning to wet the baby's head in very funny style.

🎤 Who’s performing?

We hand-pick the best comics on the UK circuit — from rising stars to TV names. We've had acts who performed for us one night and were announced on Taskmaster the next. We've had loads of Live at the Apollo stars and Radio 4 regulars... and we'll have lots of comics you'll want to keep an eye on. This really is the place for that London feel where you get established comics dropping in to try new material and you'll see the stars of tomorrow - all for just a £12 (or a tenner if you sign up to the mailing list). Ridiculous. Lineups are announced in advance where possible, but are always subject to change.

📩 I’ve booked but haven’t received a confirmation email.

Please check your spam folder. If it’s still not there, email us at and we’ll resend it.

👯‍♀️ Can I book a group?

Absolutely. We allow bookings up to 10 people. If you're planning a bigger night out, get in touch before booking, so we can make sure we can seat you all together.

🪑 Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

The bar is all ground level and it has an accessible toilet at the back. The front door can accommodate standard width wheelchairs, but please contact the bar on 01483 730407 if you have specific access requirements.

🎙️ I'm thinking about being a comic, can I perform?

If you're a new comic, we suggest honing your act first by putting the hours in on the open mic circuit. We tend to only book established acts or newer comics who've got a few years under their belts. Occasionally we can squeeze in a 5 spot, but we still need assured acts who know where the laughs are. Keep going and keep us updated!

🎭 I'm semi-pro/pro comic - how can I perform here?
