Situation

Microbyte, a fast-growing managed service provider, wanted to increase engagement and showcase their expertise in a way that would connect with a wider audience. With tech-heavy topics that could often feel inaccessible, they needed a fresh content approach to make their insights more engaging and digestible.

I proposed a podcast-first content strategy that would humanise their brand, offer thought leadership, and build a stronger connection with their target audience.

Solution

I implemented a podcast-first strategy that positioned Microbyte as approachable experts in the IT space, and gave them a cost- and time-effective way of developing and posting always-on content.

Here's how:

  • Expert interviews: I worked closely with internal experts, guiding them through interview structures that aligned with Microbyte’s key messaging and tone of voice, helping them communicate technical knowledge in a clear, relatable way.

  • Content repurposing: Episodes were turned into a range of content, including blog posts, social media snippets, and video highlights. This maximised the value of each episode, reaching different audience preferences.

  • Audience engagement: We used listener feedback and trending IT issues to inform future podcast topics, ensuring content stayed fresh and relevant.

The podcast series became a key part of Microbyte’s thought leadership strategy, creating a direct line of communication between their experts and potential clients, all while enhancing the brand’s overall digital presence.
